Metroid: Other M.

While Retro Studios' Metrod Prime-series took place before the original Metroid, Metroid: Other M takes place after the events in Super Metroid. Other M starts out with an incredibly beautiful, pre-rendered scene where Samus desperately fights against a slimey Mother Brain. Tecmo gives the fans a really cool animated version of the final moments of Super Metroid, where Samus in the end defeats the Mother Brain and saves the planet Zebes.

Samus then wakes up on one of the federation's battleships, a bit messed up from the fighting on Zebes. Shortly afterwards she joins up with soldiers from her old workplace and together with the Galactic Federation she goes to investigate an emergency signal from a stranded ship.

Metroid: Other < Does not start out very strong, In spite of the intial sequence of Samus and the mother brain.. Samus talks often, Looks like something out of any Dead or Alive game you can think of, and the mystery surronding the coolest bounty hunter in the galaxy is shot to peices.

Tecmo works hard to take out the bubble that has always protected samus's real personality from the player.

samus has always spoken through his actions, not his words.. This is something that Tecmo has decided to change.

As a result of this, samus and her friends talk all the time.

When it comes to gameplay, Metroid: Other M is good. Tecmo has mixed 2D-action with 3D first person shooting and the mix is mostly good. Sadly, you can't move when you look through Samus' eyes, which in the end makes that perspective more or less pointless. To shift between third person and first person during a firefight can result in a quick and pointless death for our long-legged heroine since you can't duck, jump or step aside as the enemies throw their purple tentacles towards her.

Problem with the Patapon 2 Exploit

Hi everyone,

As I was using 6.20 Official firmware (not liking it) I wanted to play homebrew at any means apart from my pandora (which is broken) so when I saw the Patapon 2 exploit, I thought it would be worth a shot. I've put all the files in the right places, everything works nicely apart from one thing - The gamesave. Now, as I said before, the game loads really nicely, I click on Continue like the guide tells me to but when I select the game data it says "Cannot load, gamedata is corrupt." Or something like that.

If anyone can help, it would be most appreciated.

Database errors

I personally feel this site has been having way too many of them lately.

I know that there really isn't much that can be done from our end, but I feel that if the problem persists, then this should be taken to the host and see if there's anyhing wrong.

Of course this being that it's just not my computer and internet being a retard, but I doubt my internet would give a database error.

Just a note, I've had at least a dozen database errors where the site wouldn't load for at least 10 minutes in the past 3-4 days. (idk about anyone else, but I think that's a bit excessive, hell, there shouldn't BE any database errors in the first place!)

Change PS3 Mac Address?

Yeah, is it possible? Or is it only possible with the somewhat anticipated (for me dreaded) PS3 exploit?

Long story short, my dad has a time limit on my PS3 and comp, blocked by time and Mac Address (btw he has an approved list, not a blacklist) and my comp is fine because I figured out the Mac Address of one of our old computers that's never in use, but is still on the approved list, but the PS3... well yeah, go figure.
